Alexander Ulyanov

Alexander Ulyanov (18?? - 1887) one of the conspirators of the radical revolutionary group People's Will (Narodnaya Volya).

In 1887, the People's Will planned the murder of Tsar Alexander III. Among the conspirators captured was Alexander Ulyanov. He was sentenced to death and hanged on May 5th, 1887.

Alexander Ulyanov was the brother of Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, who would later take the pseudonym V.I. Lenin. The execution of Alexander radicalized Lenin and he became more involved in student protests and revolutionary propaganda efforts.
