Domodedovo International Airport

Domodedovo International Airport (Russian: Домоде́дово) is an airport south of Moscow, Russia. It has the IATA Airport Code DME. Moscow has several airports, of which the most prominent are Sheremetyevo International Airport and Domodedovo. Domodedovo is leading in domestic flights and flights to the CIS countries and is starting to challenge Sheremetyevo in number of international passengers. The IATA code for all airports serving Moscow is MOW.

The airport is run by East Line Group which also owns East Line Airlines. The group has been heavily investing in reconstruction of the airport, arranged for customs to be more convenient and the airport is kept clean. Because of problems at Sheremetyevo, British Airways and Swiss International Airlines moved to Domodedovo. Other lucrative airlines such as Emirates and SN Brussels Airlines flocked to Domodedovo. Meanwhile, Aeroflot had moved all cargo operations to Domodedovo.

Domodedovo is linked to Moscow by the Aeroexpress to Paveletsky Station. The ride lasts 40 minutes and passengers (hand luggage only) can check in at the station.
