Drumheller, Alberta

Drumheller is a town in the Badlands of east-central Alberta on the Red Deer River an hour and a half northeast of Calgary, Alberta. Population (2001 census) 7,785.

The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology, a renowned museum that hosts the world's largest collection of dinosaur fossils under one roof, is located just in the northwest of the town along the North Dinosaur Trail.

South of the road bridge on Highways 9/56 you'll also find the World's Largest Dinosaur--an 80 foot high T-Rex that you can climb up inside of and view the Badlands from.

Backdrop for countless cinematic productions: Shanghai Noon, Unforgiven, Knockaround Guys and Ratrace--to name a few; you may have been there before--at the movies!
