Japan Asia Airways

Japan Asia Airways is an airline subsidiary of Japan Airlines. It operates flights between Japan and Taiwan. It was formed in 1975 after the People's Republic of China threatened to deny JAL's proposed routes to the mainland over JAL's flights to Taiwan (see political status of Taiwan). JAA's airline call sign is "Asia," and its IATA code is EG.

The airline operates Boeing 747, Boeing 767, and McDonnell Douglas DC-10 aircraft.
