Markus Näslund

Markus Näslund (born July 30 1973, in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden) is a professional Ice Hockey Left Wing in the NHL, playing for the Vancouver Canucks.

Näslund has played his last 8 seasons for Vancouver, and has previously played for the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was drafted in 1991 by Pittsburgh. His best season was 2002-03 when he had 104 points and only barely lost the goal-scoring title to Milan Hejduk and overall scoring title to Peter Forsberg on the last day of the season versus the Los Angeles Kings. The Vancouver Canucks also lost that game and lost the division title. Naslund apologized after the game in front of a sellout crowd.
