Nehru Planetarium

Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium is a fast-growing tourist attraction. It is well-renowned in Bangalore for its astronomy and science related activites and science exhibitions. JNP, administered by Bangalore Association for Science Education, holds various science classes and activities for students of all ages. It also hosts various shows wherein the common public could learn and enjoy the basic facts and lore related to astronomy. Science, history and local folklore are mixed to make an interesting 45 minutes shows, shown in Kannda and English. The Planetarium holds public awareness sessions when interesting celestial events like a solar eclipse or like the recent venus transit occurs, so that the common public can gain knowledge and also experience a rare and sometimes once-in-a-lifetime, phenomenon!
