North Shore (Massachusetts)
The North Shore is a region north of Boston. It consists of the major towns, Gloucester, Lynn, Salem, and Newburyport The communities each have their own varied histories, Gloucester, was America's first fishing community, Salem was the location of the infamous Salem Witch Trials and Lynn is noted for many of it firsts in America, such as the first American jet engine.
