Pope Leo XI

Leo XI, né Alessandro de' Medici (2nd June 1535 - 27th April 1605), was pope from April 1, 1605 to April 27 of the same year. He was born into the powerful Medici family of Florence. The influence of the Henry IV—who was at the time married to Maria de' Medici—helped Pope Leo get elected.
