Skyteam Alliance

SkyTeam Alliance is the global airline alliance partnering Aeroméxico, Air France, Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Korean Air.

Northwest Airlines, Continental Airlines and KLM will join the alliance on September 13, 2004, the Madrid-based Air Europa - in November, 2004. Aeroflot and SkyTeam signed a Memorandum of Understanding on May 24, 2004 paving the way for the Russian carrier's entry into the alliance in 2005.

Current member CSA pledged to help Malév Hungarian Airlines become associate member of the alliance (as opposed to a full member, an associate has no voting rights). Tarom (The Romanian Airline) is rumoured to be preparing to join the alliance in 2005. Another carrier said to be in negotiations with SkyTeam is Malaysia Airlines. KLM's entry is expected to eventually get Kenya Airways into SkyTeam as well.
