Thoughts to Ponder
Reading other thoughts can really give you the new found inspiration you need to invigorate your own creative process. If you open your mind, you will be able to see much more than words are capable to describe.
Meister Eckhart: One must not always think so much about what one should do, but rather what one should be. Our works do not ennoble us; but we must ennoble our works.
Gerard I. Nierenberg: If I give you my idea and you give me yours, then we each have two ideas, and together we have four.
Edward De Bono: The need to be right all the time is the biggest bar to new ideas. It is better to have enough ideas for some to be wrong than to be always right by having no ideas at all.
James Allen: Law, not confusion, is the dominating principle in the universe; justice, not injustice, is the soul and substance of life; and righteousness, not corruption, is the moulding and moving force in the spiritual government of the world. This being so, man has but to right himself to find that the universe is right; and during the process of putting himself right he will find that as he alters his thoughts towards things and other people, things and other people will alter towards him.
Jane Smiley: A child who is protected from all controversial ideas is as vulnerable as a child who is protected from every germ. The infection, when it comes - and it will come - may overwhelm the system, be it the immune system or the belief system.
William Hazlitt: Man is the only animal that laughs and weeps; for he is the only animal that is struck with the difference between what things are and what they ought to be.
George Smith Patton: Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.
Paul MacCready: The only big ideas I've ever had have come from daydreaming, but modern life keeps people from daydreaming. Every moment of the day your mind is being occupied, controlled, by someone else - at work, at school, watching television. Getting away from all that is really important. You need to just kick back in a chair and let your mind daydream.
James Cash Penney: As a rule, we find what we look for; we achieve what we get ready for.
Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss): Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory.
